Remembering Pearl - My Little Princess
Dearest Pearl,
On 29th September 2010 morning, you decided to call it a day and leave us quietly.
While I feel this life journey is a long and less traveled one by many, I sincerely believe you have lived well.
It is a uneven road that requires strong courage and endless love.
There will always be a little corner in my heart for you.
Your killing smiles always brought me the sweetest memory when I was down and out during the days in UK.
I thank you for helping me to bring out the love in me.
Your thick dark hair, your little birthmark and your big eyes together become a cheeky trademark image of you in my mind.
Whenever I woke up in the morning during the good old days, I often saw you sitting quietly alone in the living hall, freshened and cleaned, looking calm and euphoric. I always knew that you had made my day.
You might not have spoken a word to me throughout our time together.
You might have never called my name.
Yet your greatest influence to me has been long lasting, significant albeit seemingly simple.
You changed my diet habit when I was 17 so I began to accept and appreciate Yoghurt -
what used to be a distasteful and sour drink for me.
You convinced me that Yoghurt does not only taste good but it is good for me too.
Since then, yoghurt is my daily 'entertaining' drink that i cannot live without.
I believe this power of influence has connected me and you personally.
Pearl, I like to end this short note with a moment of silence, a short prayer, a deep hug and kiss, and with lots of love and blessings. Since we are connected in this life, my faith tells me that our reincarnation paths will cross again in our next life. May you have a smooth journey ahead and rest peacefully.
Remember to look out for the first guy who offers you yoghurt next life and say hi.
Love always...
