1. Planning is useless but yet it is priceless. It is to get people started.
2. Forget about fixing the weaknesses. Cos we are not going to fix them anyway.
3. Figure out how not to take loans - cut expenses (cable TV? cars? mobile phones?) and focus on regular income.
4. Don't be a perfectionist - Learn to let go.
5. There's 7 days a week, but there is no "some day".
6. Don;t think with your wallet.
7. Get a ghost-writer to write an article if you are not good at writing. Eg communication student. Gte good PR esp with the press.
8. Look and Act Busy at all time.
9. Walking is good for men- help creative. Women should sit down and drink tea to be creative.
10. Celebrate success.
11. Check up from the week up. Bail out if something goes wrong. Love the service but not the business. IBM drops computers business. 3M stops magnetic tapes. They all due to poor margin. It is the wisdom to get out.
NB: Don't get into the romance of becoming entrepreneurship.
12.Learn to let go of small business to get big business. Put savings into high-return investments. Bring faith to faithful. (Being 51 now is 1/3 way through his life.) Work out the math.
13. Get out to cold call. It is only one step difference. IN vs OUT.
